Annual Reports

Municipalities are required to prepare an annual report before June 30 of each year. The reports must include the audited financial statements for the previous year, tax exemptions provided by Council, services and operations for the previous year and future municipal objectives. The annual report must be made available for public inspection prior to holding an annual general meeting for the public's comments.

Annual reports help municipalities stay accountable to the public. They highlight major changes and developments from the past year, and outline each department’s goals, achievements, and planned initiatives for the year ahead.

The City of Pitt Meadows has been recognized for its commitment to transparency and excellence in financial reporting, receiving the Canadian Award for Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for 11 consecutive years. Most recently, the City was awarded for its 2024 Annual Report.
